Market Stall Applications

Market stalls at Keskustori and Kauppatori in Seinäjoki are now open for applications!

Binding applications must be submitted by Monday, 30 November 2026.

The agreement is for a fixed term. Applicants may choose either a 1-year or 3-year agreement period. For three-year agreements, once the tenancy has continued without interruption for at least one year, the notice period is one (1) month for the tenant and four (4) months for the landlord.

If you are applying for a sales space for more than one type of business activity, please submit a separate application for each activity.

Available at Keskustori:

  • Market café space, 8 m × 8 m: 1 space
  • Fruit, vegetable and berry sales
  • Late-night food sales: 1 space
  • Other market sales

An area of 8 m × 8 m (= 4 market units) has been allocated for the market café. Of this, 8 m × 4 m is allocated for the sales trailer and 8 m × 4 m for customer seating. Other vendors may also reserve additional space for customer seating if needed.

The available spaces at Keskustori can be found on the map here. Read more about Keskustori on the City of Seinäjoki website: Keskustori | Seinäjoen kaupunki

Available at Kauppatori:

  • Late-night food sales: 4 spaces

The available spaces at Kauppatori can be found on the map here.

Applicants agree to comply with the Keskustori market rules, which also apply to Kauppatori. The rules can be found here.

Prices

At the beginning of the agreement period, the annual rent for one (1) market unit (4 × 4 metres) is €540 + 25.5% VAT per operating year. The total rent is determined by the total number of market units rented.

At the beginning of the agreement period, the electricity charges are:

  • 16A electricity: €150 + 25.5% VAT per operating year
  • 32A three-phase electricity: €250 + 25.5% VAT per operating year
  • For the market café, 32A three-phase electricity: €400 + 25.5% VAT per operating year

The landlord reserves the right to adjust the electricity price during the agreement period if electricity prices increase significantly.

What to expect in 2027

As a new feature in 2027, Keskustori will include an event and terrace area operated by Café Mankeli, as well as one late-night sales space.

Otherwise, the layout of the sales spaces at Keskustori will remain similar to recent years. A large shared area for tables and chairs will be left between the market café and the other sales points. The operators selected through the application process will be jointly responsible for furnishing the area with their own tables, chairs, parasols and other equipment. These will, however, be available for all customers to use.

A tent intended for market café customers may be used and kept in place at the market during early spring and late autumn. During the summer season (1 June–31 August 2027), tents are not permitted for café operations at the market. Parasols may, however, be used during the summer. Their colours should match the overall colour scheme of the tents, using neutral, earthy tones.

Each vendor is responsible for furnishing and equipping their own sales space, including any tent. The maximum permitted tent size is 4 m × 4 m per market unit applied for. Permitted colours include neutral, earthy tones such as white, grey, brown and beige.

Selection decisions

Applications will be assessed and selections made based on qualitative criteria.

We also welcome and encourage new types of activities and businesses at the market.

Binding applications must be submitted by 11:59 PM on Monday, 30 November 2026.

Applicants will be notified of the selection decisions during week 51. We reserve the right to accept or reject applications.
